
BOILING SPRING LAKES — Marilyn Martin Hill, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
Mrs. Hill was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Spring Hill, West Virginia. Her parents were James H. Martin Sr. and Libby Martin. She was a lifelong Nazarene who enjoyed knitting, cross stitching and sewing. We all said goodbye to a wonderful loving woman, mother and friend.
She was a registered nurse who cared for many patients throughout her lifetime. God has another angel. Nursing was her passion. She worked in home health for WellCare and previously in critical care at Brunswick Hospital, Cape Fear Hospital and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Cephus Hill; son, Richard Hill, and his wife, Nina, of Boiling Spring Lakes; daughter, Sheryl Dixon, and her husband, Jacky, of Rocky Point; four grandchildren, James Bradford Wilson, and his wife, Katie-Rose, Patricia Kay Freemyer, Karen Kaye McKinney, and her husband, Chad, and Sara Katherine Hill; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Christian Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
