WILMINGTON — Kirk Wayne Malpass, 61, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 29, 1956, in Wilmington, the son of Marvin and Awylda Porter Malpass. Kirk worked as a cabinet installer in the construction and remodeling business.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edna “Sissy” Malpass; daughter, Christie Malpass; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, at Grace Baptist Church, 1401 N College Road, Wilmington. The Rev. Jim Herchenhahn and the Rev. Terry Coates will be officiating services. The family will receive friends prior to and after the service at the Malpass residence.
