WILMINGTON — Richard M. “Rick” Roberts, 54, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
He was born March 10, 1963, in Fayetteville, N.C., the son of the late Carl and Jackie Roberts. Also remembered are his brother, Danny Roberts; two aunts, Joanne Skipper and Ruby Peele; as well as one uncle, Terry Blanton, all who preceded him in death.
Rick was a loving father and husband, caring friend, and devoted servant of God. Rick was a member of Northside Baptist Church who was always ready and willing to serve. He was employed by Wolseley Industrial Group and served his country in the North Carolina Army National Guard, retiring after 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Roberts; daughter, Sarah Roberts; son, Matt Roberts; brother, Carl G. Roberts Jr.; sister, Lisa Newins (Robert); two aunts, Judy Parlatore and Selena Brigman (Randy); as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center for their loving care and support.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 4, at Northside Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 4 p.m.
