HAMPSTEAD — Wilma Jenell Duncan, 87, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 28, 1930, in Quitman, Texas, the daughter of the late Charlie Utley and Lola Edna Deuson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene “Ted” Duncan Jr., with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Mrs. Duncan graduated from Quitman High School. She was a member of Hampstead Baptist Church and member and past president of BLGA (Belvedere Ladies Golf Association).
Surviving are her daughters; Patty Redmann of London, Ontario, Canada, Deborah Hedges, and her husband, Dave, of Raleigh, N.C., and Becky Doi, and her husband, Dave, of Alameda, Calif.; grandchildren, Cody, and his partner, Colleen, Ryan, and Jason and his wife, Samantha.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 4, at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory, Hampstead Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Hampstead Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Canady officiating. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
