WILMINGTON — Marshall Dean “Grizzly” Campbell, 68, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017. He was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Anderson County, S.C., to the late Wilma Campbell Brock and was raised by his grandparents, Albert and Leona Campbell, who also preceded him in death.
Marshall had a passion for all things hunting and fishing. He also loved to work with his hunting dogs that he raised. Marshall was faithful to his church and loved his church family at Cape Fear Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Huddleston Campbell; sons, Scott Campbell and Shane Campbell; and sister Cathy Atkins.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Cape Fear Baptist Church, 7300 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, with Pastor David Braddy officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens with military honors.
