Louise O. Register

Louise O. Register, 94, went to be with her Lord Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.

Mrs. Register was born to the late T.B. and Eugenia Gardner Owen April 6, 1923, as Eugenia Louise Owen. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 47 years, Atticus L. Register Sr.; three brothers, Arlis D. Owen, Norman B. Owen and Tommy B. Owen Jr.; and three sisters, Etta Lee Cain, Margo Macklin, Fannie C. Register and Edna Barlow.

Surviving is a family that she dearly loved; three sons, James B. Register, Robert G. Register, and his wife, Euzille, and Atticus L. Register Jr., and his wife, Marge; five grandsons, James B. Register Jr., Keith Register, Danny Register, Chris Register, and his wife, Tracy, and Kelvin Registerl three granddaughters, Terri Lynn Johnson, and her husband, Ed, Kimberly Lucas, and her husband, Lee, and Alicia Miller; 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; one dear sister, Betty Sue Thomas, and her husband, Lee; brother-in-law, Ervin Barlow; lots of nieces and nephews which are very special; and a host of Christian brothers and sisters who have prayed for me and helped keep me going when the going was rough.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

“I give all the Praise to my Savior Jesus Christ who is the keeper of my soul. He who walked with me here will surely walk with me through the dark valley. To those precious ones who I must leave before seeing you, trust Jesus, repent and accept him as your Savior today! He loves you so much and I love you too! See you soon!”

Born April 6, 1923, born again 1947 at Maffitt Village Baptist Church and sanctified later while Member of Mayhan Memorial Wesleyan Methodist Church in Wilmington, N.C. Please, salvation is free, don’t be lost.
