Martha McDermit Painter, died Nov.12, 2015, in Wilmington. She was 88.
A graduate of St. Albans High School and former Miss Red Flame, she and her family lived in St. Albans, West Virginia and she was beloved by all who knew her.
Martha Lou is survived by her children, Lee, Lou, Molly and Mindy; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her two sisters, Cornelia and Georgiana.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in St. Albans, West Virginia, where Martha was an active member. A memorial service will follow.
