Louise Harrier Lanter, of Wilmington, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was 55.
She was born in Fayetteville, on March 31, 1960, the daughter of Hilda H. Bell, of Fayetteville and the late Walter Harrier.
She had been a manager with the Pilot House Restaurant and manager with The Gap for five years. For 15 years prior to her illness, she was employed as a registered nurse in the surgical trauma wing of New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Louise was loved by her co-workers at the hospital and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched along the way.
In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, antiquing, swimming and especially doing volunteer work in the local community. Louise was a member of Port City Community Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband of 35 years, Marshall Lanter; daughters, Christen Lanter English (Orion), Melissa Lanter Lucas (Tom) and Ashley Lanter Radefeld (Chris); son, Austin Lanter; grandchildren, Caiden English and Nolan Radefeld; and sister, Linda Harrier Wood (Dennis), of Michigan.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Port City Community Church.
