Arthur James Searby, a resident at Carolina Shores, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at the age of 93.
Arthur was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was retired from education serving as a vice principal in elementary education.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn M. Searby; two daughters, Martha Pompeo and Cynthia Charest; along with other family members.
A celebration of life memorial ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Shallotte.
