JoAnn Stanley Clark, 71, spent many years RVing with her husband

JoAnn Stanley Clark, of Wilmington, died peacefully in her home on Nov. 29, 2014, after an extended battle with cancer. She was 71.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl Stanley Sr. and Lucy Carroll Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Donaldson Clark and her youngest daughter, Donna Ann Spooner.

Surviving family members are daughter, Cyndie Allgauer (Andrew) and granddaughters, Kotomi and Chieko of Lithia, Florida; son-in-law, Brian Spooner, grandson, Clark Spooner, of Wilmington and granddaughter, Candace Pearce (Al), of Canton; brother, Joseph E Stanley Jr., niece, Ginger Ebert and Earl Stanley; mother-in-law, Margaret Clark; sister-in-law, Virginia C. Smith and nephews, Bob and Kent Smith; and her friend and caretaker, Wendy Benson.

JoAnn was a cheerful homemaker who doted on her family and friends and her pet dog, Marley. She loved to travel and spent many years RVing with her husband, Don. She attended Wrightsboro United Methodist Church.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Wrightsboro United Methodist Church.
