
After a long illness, Betty Norris Chadwick, of Wilmington, died Dec. 12, 2013, at home.
After lots of military traveling, she retired to Wilmington, her husband Robert’s hometown, and after 25 years at Dupoint she retired to devote her time to her family. She loved her Christian life and loved, helped and adored her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had so many wonderful loving nieces, nephews, and lots and lots of great, loving friends.
She was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Elizabethtown and was preceded in death by her parents, Sallie Haire Norris and Minson Gold Norris; husband, Robert James Chadwick; grandson, Larry Justice, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Sheila Ann Justice.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Justice (Joey) and Gloria Chadwick; grandchildren, Terry Wayne Justice (Michelle), Danny Bollinger and Angel Edwards (Keith); great-grandchildren, Cameron, Bryce, Hunter, Skii, Raine, Dell, Dalton, Brody and Zack; brother-in-law, Tommy Chadwick (Shirley); and her devoted and loving pet, “Soncho,” who stayed by her side all through her illness.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, hospital and hospice personal for all their great care and to all her loving friends who all called and visited.

A visitation and funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service with internment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were her nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, the Animal Shelter or the Humane Society.
