Cathy Helms Moss, of Shallotte and formerly of Ft. Mill, S.C., died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.
She was born in Waxhaw on Aug. 23, 1954, and was daughter of Mrs. Elsie Mae Ashley Helms and the Theodore F. Helms. She was a graduate of Ft. Mill High School and the Anson Technical College where she received her Accounting degree.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Bill Moss of Shallotte; daughters, Tracey Helms Robinson and husband, Jim, of Ft. Mill and Ashley Nicole Helms, of Fayetteville; brothers, Michael Helms and wife, Angela, of Ohio and Rusty Helms and wife, Laurie of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Melissa Huggins and husband, Wesley, of Ft. Mill; five grandchildren; and a special lifelong friend, Judy Wallace.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte by the Rev. Jason L. Benton. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
