CAROLINA BEACH — A local nonprofit dedicated to supporting neurodivergent youth will host its 3rd annual Walk for Kindness and ADHD on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The event, organized by Anthony’s Way – The Road to Kindness, aims to foster community connection and raise funds for children and teens navigating ADHD.

The walk takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Carolina Beach Lake Park. Participants are encouraged to wear orange and walk one mile around the lake at their own pace. Beyond the walk, the event features a “Community Wall of Orange Hearts” where attendees can leave messages of kindness, a martial arts demonstration from Dynamic Martial Arts, and food provided by The Island Men.
The nonprofit was founded by Tony and Cassi Bellezza in memory of their son, Anthony, who died in 2016. The organization focuses on providing expert care and resources to families who may otherwise lack access to ADHD services.
Following the walk, a gathering will be held at The Veggie Wagon next door, featuring music and chai cider. A portion of the proceeds from the post-walk event will support the nonprofit’s mission to expand access to ADHD care.
For those unable to attend the in-person event, the organization encourages remote participation during Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb. 14–20).
