Good Shepherd hosts holiday giveaway mid-week

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — An area nonprofit that houses families and individuals in need, as well as feeds the hungry, is hosting a holiday event Wednesday.

The Good Shepherd Center will be giving out toys to kids, and hats, scarves and gloves to both kids and adults from noon to 1 p.m. Santa will be on hand and the community at large is welcome to attend.

Donations are also being accepted to the Good Shepherd to help its mission. Last year, it rehomed 339 people.
