NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Students in pursuit of an associate or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field are welcome to apply for a scholarship through the county.
The Herter-O’Neal Scholarship awards $750 to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, co-leaders in the N.C. Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA).
Applicants must be enrolled at a community college or university for the 2022-23 academic year. The deadline to apply is March 20, 2022.
Application packets are available through the high school counselor’s office or college financial aid office. Students can also call at 910-798-7671 or stop by the extension visitor center at 6206 Oleander Dr.
