WILMINGTON — This week, periodic lane closures will take place in downtown Wilmington.
At the intersection of South 3rd and Dock streets, construction will be underway to lengthen the median and a new marked crosswalk along South 3rd.
The closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Nightly, lane closures are also a possibility, according to the City of Wilmington.
Periodic lane restrictions will remain in place near Dock Street until completion of the project in the fall of 2022. The city asks motorists to remain alert and pass steadily through the area.
