WILMINGTON — Ibiza Nightclub Wilmington announced the day before New’s Years Eve it is now requiring proof of vaccination for entry.
The downtown nightclub shared on Facebook it was making the move “to ensure the safety of our community, patrons, staff & entertainers.”
“As Wilmington’s #1 Dance Club, we value our role in the community, and remain committed to doing our part in reducing the spread of the coronavirus,” a press release stated.
Guests will need to provide proof of full vaccination of either Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. While inside, clubgoers must also wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, over the nose and mouth unless they are actively drinking.
The club also announced it is reducing its capacity to allow for greater distancing.
The venue is continuing with its New Year’s Eve festivities but offering limited tickets. Attendees who purchase admission online in advance will be able to upload their proof of vaccination.
