WILMINGTON — The STARZ-produced series “Hightown” relocated from Massachusetts to Wilmington’s EUE/Screen Gem Studios to begin shooting season two.
Currently, the show is in need of kids ages 7-8, of any gender and ethnicity. Some kids will be needed to sing in a group on camera (singing skills are not required); these kids will be chosen by the director. This group also may be asked to log into a Zoom meeting with show creators to rehearse lines.
The series is also in need of adults, ages 30-40, any ethnicity and gender, who could play the kids’ parents.
The shoot will take place all day on Thursday, Jan. 14. The pay is standard $64 per 8-hour day and time-and-a-half for every hour after the eighth. Singing kids will receive a $50 bump in pay and a $20 bump if required to meet via Zoom ahead of time.
All booked extras will be required to take a Covid-19 test on Monday, Jan. 11 at a specific location and time, determined by the production, and shared with extras upon being hired. $20 will be paid out for every test taken during the shoot. No outside tests will be accepted from other clinics.
