BRUNSWICK COUNTY — With Election Day two months away on Nov. 4, area candidate forums are heating up.
In October, the League of Women Voters of Lower Cape Fear is asking for Brunswick County residents who live and vote in Leland, Oak Island, Southport and Holden Beach to join them for four forums. All will be non-partisan, representing candidates in the municipal elections.
Voters are welcome to submit questions to LWVLCF.org. Deadlines for Leland and Oak Island are Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 for Southport and Holden Beach.
The schedule is below and all forums are held 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Oct. 6 — Leland Candidate Forum: Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
Oct. 9 — Oak Island Candidate Forum: Oak Island Town Offices, 4601 E. Oak Island Dr.
