WILMINGTON — The woman charged in an April stabbing in downtown Wilmington pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury on Thursday, Aug.13, 2026.
Jazya Muldrow-Green, 20, was sentenced to 30 to 48 months in prison for cutting another woman during an early morning fight on Easter Sunday.

The incident occurred around the same time and less than a block away from an unrelated stabbing that resulted in the death U.S. Marine Daniel Montano.
Around 2:10 a.m., an argument between a small group of women led to a physical altercation between Muldrow-Green and the victim. Muldrow-Green held a knife and a cell phone in her hand as she struck the other woman multiple times. The victim suffered severe injuries to her arms and hands before Muldrow-Green was pulled away.
Muldrow-Green thereafter handed the knife to another individual who discarded it not far from where the incident occurred. The knife was found and collected by responding officers.
Investigators later obtained a cell phone video of the assault that was recorded by a bystander who recorded the melee. Muldrow-Green has an extensive criminal history that includes seven assault-related convictions and multiple larceny offenses.
