According to the Sixth Prosecutorial District Attorney’s office, Ramsey and an unknown accomplice stole two Dewalt 20-volt batteries valued at $249 each from a Lowe’s Hardware Store on South College Road on Dec. 5, 2024. Later that day, they sold the batteries to a National Pawn Store for $55 each.

In a separate incident on April 10, 2025, Ramsey pawned a Remington 1100 12-gauge shotgun for $500 at Pawn South Store on Oleander Drive, despite being prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.

“This defendant has engaged in a course of unlawful conduct that has deprived citizens and their businesses of property for many years,” Assistant District Attorney Brad Matthews stated in a release. “When you add in the fact that he also unlawfully possessed firearms, it is imperative that our community be protected from this defendant, and others like him, for the foreseeable future.”

The cases were investigated by the Wilmington Police Department, with the State represented by Matthews and Ramsey represented by attorney Blake Spale.
