LELAND – Leland Police are investigating a robbery at the Circle K gas station, located at 7806 Ocean Highway East.
Around 4:30 Saturday morning, an unknown suspect entered the gas station and
demanded money from the register. The suspect did not display a weapon, but implied that he had one.
The suspect, described as a Black male, was wearing all black and concealed his identity with a hood and face covering. He was wearing black pants with white stripes and distinct gray and white shoes. He was last seen fleeing the area on foot toward Goodman Road and is believed to be local to the area.
The store clerk was not hurt during the incident. The suspect stole approximately $100 in cash and two packs of cigarettes. Some of the cash was recovered by officers at the scene.
The Leland Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or any other aspect of this case is asked to contact Detective R. Britton at (910) 726-3121 or the Police Department’s main line at (910) 371-1100.
