NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Need new office furniture? Appliances? Break-room receptacles?

The New Hanover County government has a surplus of property it will auction off, first to area nonprofits, then the public.

Nonprofit organizations can inspect the items now through March 24 but must make an appointment with Julia LaBombard at 910-798-4333 or emailing her at jlabombard@nhcgov.com. A list of available property can be found here.

All items that remain will be on sale to the public Tuesday, March 28. The auction will run through April 4 through GovDeals. Registration is required for bidding.

All items are sold “as is” and all payments — all credit cards, PayPal and wire transfer — must be made online through the auction site.

Questions regarding GovDeals can be directed by calling (800) 613-0156.
