SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools reported the same number of Covid-19 cases this week as it did last Friday.
Twenty-three people reported their positive test results to the school system this past week.
Seventy people were directed to quarantine after they were exposed to the virus in a school, according to NHCS’ public online dashboard.
Since Oct. 12, NHCS has reported 845 positive cases total.

Brunswick County Schools
Brunswick County Schools is reporting 17 active Covid-19 cases and 80 precautionary quarantines as of Friday afternoon.
Since Aug. 21, the school system has recorded 414 positive cases and 397 recoveries among its students and staff.

Pender County Schools’ most recent Covid-19 update is from March 15-22. As of then, the district was reporting three cases and 21 quarantines.
Since Aug. 1, 525 staff and students in PCS tested positive for the virus. All but three were recovered.
Port City Daily obtains its numbers from PCS through the district’s online reporting, which updates on Mondays with any positive cases the school is aware of through either self-reporting and the Pender County Health Department.
