WILMINGTON — After a strange turn of events, the Wilmington Police Department are searching for a man who police had already managed to stop in Downtown Wilmington.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when police received an anonymous phone call about a man trying to ‘incite violence.’
“When police arrived, the gentleman attempted to flee. Police blocked off 3rd St. between Chestnut and Princess and have since been calmly talking to him, trying to get him to exit the vehicle. Chief Williams is on scene and has spoken to him,” according to the Wilmington Police Department’s Twitter.
The man eventually fled the scene and police are currently searching for Oscar Pinilla.
