
SURF CITY — A Maple Hill man was charged with first-degree kidnapping after allegedly abducting a female while displaying a weapon.
According to Surf City Police Chief Ron Shanahan, Allen Marshall forced the victim into her own vehicle and drove her to a residence. At this time, she was able to escape and notify law enforcement.
Along with the kidnapping charge, Marshall, 33, was also charged with assault on a female.
Marshall was booked into the Pender County Jail on a $150,000 secured bond. His last known address is 592 Hardy Graham Road in Maple Hill, according to Shanahan.
