Lawrence was caught on video as she swerved her vehicle towards her boyfriend and a woman who were walking down the street. The man narrowly avoided being struck while the woman was hit and thrown into the air. Lawrence drove away, leaving the woman in the street. The man fled the scene and did not return, according to police.

WPD spokesperson Jennifer Dandron said investigators located a photo of Lawrence posing with the damaged vehicle, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, that was posted to social media immediately after the incident.

Damage seen on the vehicle’s right headlight appears to be a result of the incident, according to Dandron.

Lawrence, who police said appears to be missing a portion of her left arm, was identified by police as the driver of the suspect vehicle on Rutledge Drive on Wednesday morning after receiving multiple tips from the public.

According to the release, the man in the video has been identified as a male with a “known dating relationship with Lawrence.”

Police officers obtained warrants for Lawrence for assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run, failure to give information/aid to personal injury, and driving without a license.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call WPD at 910-343-3609 or use Text-A-Tip.
