Woman crashes into ‘cheating’ man’s car, then runs him over, all with his child in her car

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman for intentionally ramming her car into another vehicle occupied by her baby’s father and another woman while her child was in her own vehicle.

According to WPD spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron, “Officers responded to 12th and Carnation yesterday afternoon, officers located the suspect Takera Mitchell, 21, of Wilmington. She was driving her car with a 1-year-old in the car, she was attempting to hit the father of her child with her car because she said ‘he was cheating on her with another woman.’ The father of the child was in another vehicle with a different female and Mitchell was chasing them.”

She collided with the car he was driving twice, when he stepped outside of the vehicle trying to speak with her, she hit him with her car running over his foot, injuries are minor.

“She was arrested and has two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count child abuse, and one count of injury to personal property. She received no bond and is currently in New Hanover County Jail,” Dandron said.
