NEW HANOVER COUNTY — A four-month long narcotics investigation helmed by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit led to the arrest of four individuals, 50-grams of methamphetamine, and almost $30,000 in cash.
“On June 21, 2018, Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Lansdowne Road where they learned Robichaux and the Kunz sisters lived. Robichaux and another white male later identified as Steven Mattison Novello were seen leaving Robichaux’s residence in separate vehicles and later pulled over by law enforcement. Novello, was found to be in possession of four ounces of marijuana and a handgun, NHCSO Spokesman Jerry Brewer said.
“Inside of the residence Detectives located 50.73 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 58.09 grams of cocaine, 12.38 grams of MDMA, 365 grams of marijuana, two handguns and $28,965.00 in cash,” he continued.
Robichaux was charged with:
- (2) counts possession of firearm by felon
- (2) counts of trafficking in methamphetamine
- (5) counts of trafficking in cocaine
- (2) counts of conspire to traffic in methamphetamine
- (2) counts of conspire to traffic in cocaine
- (2) counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver MDA/MDMA
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana
- Manufacture marijuana
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Meghan and Sloane Kunz were charged with:
- (2) counts of trafficking in methamphetamine
- (2) counts of trafficking in cocaine
- (2) counts of conspire to traffic in methamphetamine
- (2) counts of conspire to traffic in cocaine
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver MDA/MDMA
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana
- Manufacture marijuana
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Novello, whose photo NHCSO did not provide, was charged with:
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana
- Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance
- Carrying concealed weapon – gun
Meghan Kunz’s bond is $500,000, Sloane Kunz’s $150,00 bond. Robichaux received a $1,000,000 bond. Novello appears to either have not received a bond or has already bonded, he does not appear on the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center inmate list.
