Here’s when and where you can catch $1 movies in Wilmington this summer

Both The Pointe 14 and Regal Mayfaire Stadium 16 are now offering family-friendly movies for just $1 during select weekdays this summer.

WILMINGTON—With kids out of school, summer movies are back at the theaters. For just $1, family-friendly movies at The Pointe 14 and Regal Mayfaire Stadium 16 will be available on select days this summer.

From “Boss Baby” to “Despicable Me,” this summer is a chance for the family to catch box office hits on the big screen for less. Both theaters are featuring weekday showings at 10 a.m.

At The Pointe 14, $1 movies are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. The schedule, with title selections subject to change, can be found below:

  • June 19 through 21 – “Ferdinand”
  • June 26 through 28 – “Boss Baby”
  • July 3 through 5 – “Captain Underpants”
  • July 10 through 12 – “Smurfs: The Lost Village”
  • July 17 through 19 – “The Emoji Movie”
  • July 24 through 26 – “The LEGO Ninjago Movie”
  • Aug. 7 through 9 – “Paddington 2”
  • Aug. 14 through 16 – “Peter Rabbit”

According to Stone Theatre’s website, $1 movies at The Pointe 14 fill up quickly. Viewers are encouraged to arrive early and reserve seating for large parties.

Regal Mayfaire Stadium 16 is continuing its $1 movie offering from last summer. Dollar movies at Mayfaire start at 10 a.m. and run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Mayfaire location will feature two different selections on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with both movies to play on both days. With titles subject to change, Mayfaire’s selections include:

  • June 12 and 13 – “Despicable Me” and “Ice Age: Collision Course”
  • June 19 and 20 – “Storks” and “Mr. Peabody & Sherman”
  • June 26 and 27 – “Despicable Me 2” and “How to Train Your Dragon 2”
  • July 3 and 4 – “The LEGO Movie and “Alvin and the Chipmunks”
  • July 10 and 11 – “Sing” and “The Peanuts Movie”
  • July 17 and 18 – “The LEGO Ninjago Movie” and “Ferdinand”
  • July 24 and 25 – “The Secret Life of Pets” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel”
  • July 31 and Aug. 1 – “The LEGO Batman Movie” and “Trolls”
  • Aug. 7 and 8 – “Minions” and “The Boss Baby”
  • Aug. 14 and 15 – “Paddington 2” and “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie”
