The webpage was created by the county’s Public Health Department, the release states. It features several tabs under which information about treatment and recovery, harm reduction, medication disposal and opioid abuse prevention can be found.

The site also features a resources section for various individuals, from caregivers, parents and pregnant women, to older adults, law enforcement officials and even medical providers.

“Whether you are interested in learning how to engage in community efforts, or are struggling with addiction, have a friend of family member who is, or you are a doctor, law enforcement officer, or a concerned citizen – there is information on this webpage for you,” Public Health Director Phillip Tarte said. “As you navigate the opioid crisis in our community, we hope this webpage can serve as a reminder that each of us has a role to play in fighting the opioid epidemic.”

It’s not the county’s first use of the web to help combat the opioid epidemic. Last year, the county produced a series of YouTube videos about opioids.
