WILMINGTON — The Avenue development proposed for Military Cutoff Road will hold a community meeting Wednesday to answer questions from concerned residents.

According to a public notice received by nearby residents and businesses, a representative of The Carroll Companies – owner of The Avenue project – will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 25.

The meeting will be held at the nearby Covenant Church located at 210 Station Road from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The Avenue developer is currently seeking a conditional rezoning of the 44-acre property on Military Cutoff Drive. The project was originally submitted last year, but was withdrawn after planning commission staff voiced concerns that that project would add too much additional traffic to Military Cutoff, already given a failing level of service grade by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
