Wilmington Police searching for two after hit-and-run (VIDEO)

The driver and a passenger fled on foot after hitting a car and a school bus.

 

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is searching for two suspects in connection with a hit-and-run on Jan. 18 at the intersection of south 13th and Ann street.

According to police spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the suspects were driving a 1998 Green Buick when they struck an occupied New Hanover County School bus and another vehicle with two occupants.

The suspects were both black males between the ages of 18 and 20-years-old. The suspects left the vehicle at the scene and fled on food with the help of a bystander.

The driver was wearing gray pants, a white t-shirt, blue jacket, black shoes and has a slim build. The passenger was wearing black pants, a red jacket with a logo, white shirt and has a medium build.

A bystander who was standing at the 1 Stop Shop Grocery at the time of the crash and assisted the passenger out of the vehicle is also wanted for questioning.
