New Hanover County

Board of Commissioners

The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse.

  • The Board of Commissioners will receive the annual audit report for the county for the fiscal year ending June 2017
  • First quarter financial results for 2018
  • Strategic Plan revision presentation
  • Public hearing regarding the rezoning of property at 168 and 178 Porters Neck Road to allow for the construction of a hotel

Brunswick County

Board of Commissioners

The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Commissioner’s Meeting Room. The full agenda can be found online.

  • Public hearing regarding a proposed amendment to the Brunswick County Unified Development Ordinance
  • Consider an offer for $3,000 for the purchase of a parcel
  • Request that the Board of Commissioners consider authorizing the transfer of $168,000 to the N.C. Division of Water Resources as the required local match for a project to dredge the navigation channel at the Lockwood Folly Inlet, as well as authorize the Chairman to write a letter to the Town of Holden Beach requesting reimbursement for $84,000 (50 percent) of the local share
  • Request that the Board of Commissioners approve a contract in the amount of $95,000 with McGill Associates for Design, Engineering and Construction Plans for Holden Beach Park

Leland

The Town of Leland will meet at 11 a.m. Monday in Council Chambers at Town Hall. The full agenda can be found online.

  • Council will vote on a $12,250 project to recode its Municode town ordinances
