WILMINGTON — The New Hanover Board of Commissioners has removed an item from it’s agenda for an upcoming meeting that would help the development known as RiverLights move forward with plans for a new elementary school.
While the item has been pulled from this month’s agenda, it is expected to come back for board approval later this year.
New Hanover County Chief Communications Officer Ruth Smith said the reason the item was removed from the agenda is to allow the New Hanover County School Board an opportunity to first vote on the item. Smith said it is likely to be brought back to the commissioners in November.
