Port City music lovers need to pencil in three more shows in the coming months. Huka Entertainment announced Monday the addition of a trio of shows, two of which will be at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater.

Greensky Bluegrass will play the outdoor venue Saturday, July 9. Tickets for that show go on sale at 10 a.m. this Thursday, May 26 on the Concerts page at Port City Daily.

Tuesday, July 19 will bring Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and their “We Live for Love” tour to Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. Tickets to see the longtime collaborators in both marriage and music go on at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, also on the Concerts page at Port City Daily.

In August, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band will play the Cape Fear Community College Humanities and Fine Arts Center for a show brought by Huka with 98.3FM The Penguin. Tickets will go on sale for that Monday, Aug. 15 show at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3 on the Port City Daily Concerts page.

Greensky Bluegrass is a five-member acoustic group that describes itself as a bluegrass band and a rock band, existing in a few different genres at once.

“In theory,” Greensky Bluegrass mandolinist, vocalist, and songwriter Paul Hoffman explains, “greensky is the complete opposite of bluegrass. So, by definition, we are contrasting everything that isn’t bluegrass with everything that is.”

Pat Benatar is a living legend pop star from the 1980s and a four-time Grammy winner who boasts 19 Top 40 singles – among them Top 10 hits “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield,” “We Belong” and “Invincible.” A classically trained mezzo-soprano, Benatar was one of the most heavily played artists on MTV when the popular music channel debuted.

Neil Giraldo has been a professional musician, producer, arranger and songwriter for over four decades now, changing the face of the pop charts throughout the 1980s with Benatar, who is his collaborator, muse and wife. More than just an explosive steel-bending guitar player, Giraldo’s innovative vision helped him create the signature Benatar sound. His impressive back catalog includes more than 100 songs written, produced, arranged and recorded for Benatar, as well as many hits he helped create, among them Rick Springfield’s Number One, Grammy-winning classic “Jessie’s Girl.”

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums over three decades. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of Americana, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.  Whether touring as a ‘Duo’ or with his ‘Acoustic Group’ or ‘The Large Band,’ Lovett’s live performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend’s deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. Among his many accolades – besides four Grammy Awards – he was given the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was named Texas State Musician.
