Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Atkinson man Tuesday on several child sex offense charges.
Joshua Adam Stroessenreuther, 21, of Point Caswell Road in Atkinson, has been charged with first-degree sex offense with a child, indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery, according to Pender County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jamie Ezzell.
Stroessenreuther has been charged in connection with an incident involving a 7-year-old girl, Ezzell said. He also faces a pending charge of misdemeanor larceny in New Hanover County District Court, according to court records.
Stroessenreuther is being held at the Pender County jail under a $700,000 secured bond.
