Heavy fog has required the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry to suspend runs Wednesday morning.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation Ferry Division reports the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry is out-of-service until the fog lifts. The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. today.
