Sewer work will require a lane shift on Eastwood Road near Racine Drive overnight tonight and Thursday night. The traffic pattern, affecting eastbound traffic, will be in place starting at 5 p.m.
The work, part of the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority’s Northeast Interceptor project, will continue through 5 a.m. Thursday, according to a notice. The project will resume at 5 p.m. Thursday and conclude by 5 a.m. Friday.
“Because of the work hours, we do not expect more than minor traffic delays,” the CFPUA said in the notice. “However, as always, we ask motorists driving in the area to travel at slower speeds and put down their cell phones for both their safety and the safety of our work crews.”
