Wilmington police are investigating an armed robbery reported Friday and a carjacking reported at Costco Sunday morning.
A man reported he was sitting in his car when he was approached by a man with a gun outside Costco at 5351 Gingerwood Drive just before 11 a.m. Sunday, according to police spokeswoman Linda Rawley. The victim tried to yell for help but the suspect said would shoot the man in the face if he didn’t quit yelling, Rawley said.
The suspect pulled the victim out of the vehicle by his arm and fled north toward Cando Street, Rawley said. Police are searching for a 45-year-old white male who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
Man robbed at gunpoint on Marion Drive
An armed robbery was reported just before 9 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Marion Drive. The victim stated he was reaching into his vehicle when he felt a “blunt object” at his side.
The suspect told the victim not to turn around and demanded money, Rawley said. The victim reportedly took money out of his wallet and gave it to the suspect. The suspect fled the area on foot, Rawley said.
The suspect is described as a slender black man who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall. He wore a black T-shirt and white shorts.

New Hanover County
Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a suspect who robbed a pizza delivery business Friday night in Ogden.
Deputies responded to the Papa John’s at 7419 Market St. at 11:23 p.m., according to sheriff’s office spokesman Cpl. Jason Augst.
An employee reported he was alone in the store when he felt the suspect press an unknown object to the back of his head, Augst said. The suspect demanded money from the safe and cash register and fled through the back door. Fresh tire tracks were located by a K-9 unit at a nearby residence, Augst said.
Deputies are searching for a black male who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall. The suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark clothing and a ski mask or dark scarf across his face.

Brunswick County

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for several people of interest in connection with a break-in at a gas station in Supply.
Two women and three men are considered persons of interest in the incident that occurred at about 3 a.m. Monday at the Quick-n-Easy gas station at 2685 Holden Beach Road in Supply, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.
