Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter offers free ‘living with grief’ sessions

Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter offers Living with Grief, a free six-session grief support group for adults, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 30-March 6, at the Phillips LifeCare & Counseling Center, 1414 Physicians Drive in Wilmington.

This program is offered to adults experiencing grief, regardless of whether they received hospice services, in addition to families of hospice patients. It provides grief education and support that enable members to cope with and understand their grief.

Discussions include the phases of grief and the grieving process, along with other areas of concern for participants. Often being around others who have been through a similar experience enables participants to talk about what they are experiencing. Grief groups help emphasize that participants are not grieving alone and others understand and can support them on their grief journey.

Registration is required. To register, call Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter at 796-7991 or email [email protected]. When leaving a message, please leave your name, telephone number, and the group you wish to attend.
