
Officers with the Wilmington Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Task Force have arrested a third suspect in connection with shooting at a teen who was riding his bicycle in the Creekwood Community last month.
Wakeel Rasheed Stewart, 18, of Wilmington, was arrested at 3 p.m. Friday at a home in the 300 block of Pine Valley Drive, according to Wilmington Police Department Spokeswoman Linda Rawley.
Stewart, along with 24-year-old Kolton Thompson and 17-year-old Daiquan Jacobs, are charged in connection with firing several gunshots at a teen who was riding his bike in the area of East Stewart Circle and Spaulding Drive in the Creekwood Community on Oct. 17.

The victim was not injured.
Thompson, of Wilmington, and Jacobs, of Castle Hayne, were arrested last month and are facing several charges, including attempted first-degree murder.

Stewart has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony conspiracy, six counts of failure to appear on a misdemeanor and two counts of felony probation violation.
He is being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $1,050,500 secured bond.
