A tweet on the studios’ official Twitter feed Friday stated simply: “Sleepy Hollow to stay with us, keep shooting in #ILM for Season 2.”

Earlier this week, the network announced it had ordered a second 13-episode run, in response to high ratings the series has enjoyed since its broadcast premiere in mid-September. The series debuted as the highest-rated drama premiere in six seasons on Fox, according to reports.

Based on the 1820 short “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “Sleepy Hollow” is billed as “a thrilling new modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic story” known for its delivery of the nefarious Headless Horseman.

The production started filming in Wilmington this summer. More information on the show is available on its website.
