New Hanover County will close its administrative offices Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. County offices will reopen and resume normal hours of operation Tuesday, May 28.

New Hanover County Department of Social Services
All units of the New Hanover County Department of Social Services (DSS) will be closed Monday, May 27. Residents are encouraged to call 911 to reach an on call social worker to report child abuse and neglect.
New Hanover County Landfill
The New Hanover County Landfill will be closed Saturday, May 25. The landfill will be operating on a normal schedule Monday, May 27.
New Hanover County attractions

The Cape Fear Museum, located at 814 Market St., will be operating on a normal schedule Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. City of Wilmington
City of Wilmington offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Trash service will run on a regular schedule. City customers who normally have their trash and yard waste picked up on Mondays are asked to have all items curbside by 7:30 a.m.
City recycling customers who are on the blue schedule and normally have their recycling collected on Mondays should place their recycling containers curbside by 7:30 a.m. as well. Customers can find out which week their recycling is picked up at wilmingtonnc.gov/recycling.
Brunswick County
Brunswick County government offices will be closed.
Pender County
Pender County government offices will be closed.
Carolina Beach
Carolina Beach Town Hall and offices are closed.
Wrightsville Beach

The Hometown Wilmington Media office will be closed Monday, May 27.
