RALEIGH—N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory recently announced appointments to the North Carolina Board of Elections.
Rhonda Amoroso of Wilmington was one of three Republican appointees. She serves as chairwoman of the New Hanover County Republican Party.
Before that, Amoroso served as vice-chairwoman of the of executive committee in charge of election operations. According to a press release from McCrory’s office, she previously was an associate at several New York law firms before being appointed to the New York State Freshwater Wetlands Appeals Board.
Other appointees include Josh Howard, a Wake County Republican and former Assistant U.S. Attorney; Paul Foley, a Wake County Republican and attorney; Joshua Malcolm, a Robeson County Democrat and chairman of the Robeson County Board of Elections; and Maja Kricker, a Chatham County Democrat with experience on the county board of elections.
The appointments are effective May 1.
