New Hanover County Schools to host job fair for licensed positions

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — New Hanover County Schools is looking to fill positions ahead of the upcoming calendar year. As such, it will host a Specialty Teaching Job Fair on Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Hoggard High School.

The schools are looking to hire licensed specialists in:

  • Secondary Math and Science
  • Special Ed
  • Spanish
  • Mandarin
  • Allied Health Science
  • Technology
  • Digital Media
  • English as a Second Language
  • Academically and Intellectually Gifted instruction
  • School Psychologists
  • Speech-Language Pathologists
  • School Counselors
  • Social Workers

Candidates will have the chance to speak with district leaders, as well as apply and interview at the fair. It could lead to a candidate being hired on the spot.

Teachers will learn about district support, plus find out more about some of the programs offered, such as Beginning Teacher mentoring and Teacher to Principal Pipeline.
