Doobie Brothers announce new tour, Wilmington only NC stop

WILMINGTON — On the heels of releasing 2025’s “Walk the Road,” The Doobie Brothers is coming to Wilmington.

The popular Seventies and Eighties rock band is stopping at Live Oak Bank Pavilion on Oct. 6. Citi members presale takes place on Tuesday, March 24, at 10 a.m., followed by an artist presale on Wednesday, March 25, at 10 a.m. Tickest for the general public are on sale beginning on Friday, March 27, at 10 a.m. here.

“Walk the Road” is the first album featuring principal members Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee and Michael McDonald, and the first in 40 years to feature McDonald recording new music with the band. The band’s sound blends pop, country, folk, rock and strong melodies.

As part of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Doobie Brothers gained acclaim with their sixth album, “Takin’ it to the Street,” which turns 50 this year as well. It features iconic songs like “Takin’ It To The Streets” and “It Keeps You Runnin’.” In 1980, the band won Record of the Year for “What a Fool Believes” and Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus for “Minute by Minute.”

As part of Doobie Brothers’ 10-show, the Wilmington date is the only North Carolina stop their fall tour:

Tues., Oct. 6 – Wilmington, NC – Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park

Sun., Oct. 11 – Franklin, TN – FirstBank Amphitheater
Tues. Oct. 13 – Huntsville, AL – Orion Amphitheater
Wed., Oct. 14 – Brandon, MS – Brandon Amphitheater
Fri., Oct. 16 – Biloxi, MS – Mississippi Coast Coliseum
Sun., Oct. 18 – Savannah, GA – Enmarket Arena
Wed., Oct. 21 – Estero, FL – Hertz Arena
