WILMINGTON — The UpTilt Film Fest, a short film festival dedicated to showcasing films written and directed by women and gender nonconforming creators, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a weekend of films and community events.

The festival will run March 20 through March 22 at historic Thalian Hall.

This year, UpTilt will screen 58 short films from 10 countries, reflecting the power, diversity, and creativity of women gender noncomforming storytellers from around the globe.

“Over the past decade, we’ve watched this festival grow from a small local gathering into a thriving creative community,” Tricia Delp Ireland, Executive Director of UpTilt Film Fest, said in a press release. “Our mission has always been to create space for underrepresented voices in film—and to connect those filmmakers directly with audiences who are excited to discover their work.”

In addition to film screenings, the festival will include scholarship awards, a filmmaker brunch open to local film community, and several social and networking events.

Tickets to the festival can be purchased here.
