Monday, Sept. 15
Leland Town Council will have an agenda review meeting at 1 p.m. at Leland Fire Station 51. It will consider the application to annex roughly 1,221 acres of a 1,444 parcel between the Brunswick Forest Planned Unit Development (PUD), Mallory Creek Plantation PUD, and the Westgate commercial area. Council also will discuss a letter of support of federal funding for trails. The public is welcome to attend.
Kure Beach Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers. The agenda includes discussion on a proposed oceanfront deck encroachment text amendment and consideration of a purchase order for two police vehicles and one fire vehicle.
The Pender County Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m., 15060 Highway 17 in Hampstead. The agenda includes the approval of an agreement with the Town of Wallace for utility asset and water purchases and updates to the Health and Human Services and law enforcement building projects. The Brunswick County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m., 30 Government Center Drive in Bolivia. The agenda includes a memorandum of understanding with Duke Energy Progress for wastewater and water quality improvements and a report on the feasibility of a stormwater utility. New Hanover County Commissioners are meeting at 9 a.m. at the New Hanover County Courthouse, 24 N. 3rd St. room 301. Meetings are streamed here and the agenda includes:
- Resolution adoption to approve grant application submission for WMPO locally administered projects to construct multi-use path from S. College/17th Street to Piner Road
- Committee appointments, including for the New Hanover Community Endowment
Tuesday, Sept. 16
Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet in commissioners’ chambers at 30 Government Center Dr NE at 6 p.m. The meeting includes voting precinct locations for the 2026 primary election and a resolution to delegate administrative duties relating to absentee voting to the director and staff. Wednesday, Sept. 17
Brunswick Region H2Go will meet at 146 Gregory Rd. in Belville at 5 p.m. The agenda includes a resolution for a 12” Force Main Reimbursement and a WWTP Feasibility Study report from the engineering director, among other items. The public is welcome to attend.
Thursday, Sept. 18
The New Hanover County ABC Board will meet at 9 a.m. at 6009 Market St. An agenda was not published by press and the public is welcome to attend.
The Cape Fear Utility Authority Communication Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in the Jordan Conference Room, at 235 Government Center Dr. The agenda includes a 2025 Customer Satisfaction Survey and a redesign of the CFPUA website.
Navassa Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at 338 Main St. An agenda was not posted by press.
City of Wilmington Board of Adjustment will meet at 1 p.m. in City Council Chambers at the Skyline Center, 929 North Front St. The agenda includes a variance for a bulkhead extension at 1225 Great Oaks Dr. and a variance for installation of improvements adjacent to development along Buckingham Avenue. Friday, Sept. 19
The Surf City Town Council will hold a work session from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex. An agenda was not posted by press.
