
WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Minority Chamber of Commerce just announced its official launch celebration on Jan. 27 at the Wilmington Sportsman Club, honoring its debut.
As previously reported by Port City Daily, the Minority Chamber is a nonprofit dedicated to the uplifting, support, and education of local minority-owned businesses in the Cape Fear, but in particular in Wilmington. The organization will offer business education courses, training sessions and workshops monthly, and encourages networking between businesses. Annual membership to the chamber is $150 for nonprofits, $300 for small businesses, and $500 for corporations.

“We are building futures,” chamber leadership stated. “Our goal is to ensure minority-owned businesses have the support they need to grow, the platform to advocate for their interests, and the education to stay competitive in an evolving market.”
Members of the public who wish to register for the launch party are invited to go here. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and run until 8 p.m.
